Excel Logística was established in 1990 having as core business logistical consulting and third party supply chain management. In 1991 it became partner with DDF Armazenagem e Logística (part of Philips holding) and started operating with storage and distribution operations nationwide. It rendered services to many companies, such as Manufatura de Brinquedos Estrela (national leading brand in toys' segment) and Interdrogas (inland carrier for pharmaceutical companies in MG state).

After 1995, Excel started working as a logistics solution provider to many oil companies in Rio de Janeiro. It operated as logistic operator for all of them, making Door to Door imports and exports in South America for these companies (namely Petrobrás - Companhia de Petróleo Brasileiro S.A.; Shell Brasil S.A.; Shell Argentina S.A.). Due to clients' requests, it operated ocean costal freight for some companies (Shell Brasil, Unilever Foods, Texaco).

After January of 2002, after request from Shell Brasil S.A., Excel Logística started providing another service: customs clearance. Through partnerships, Excel was able to manage customs clearance in Brasil and abroad. This demand was made after Excel started to manage most international shipments to and from Shell Brasil S.A. (operating in countries/regions such as USA, Canada and Europe).

Recently, Excel Logística became partners with a company in China and added the missing operational links to start operating in the Asian and Australian trades.
